What was all the craze about on youtube a few years back when the weird guy in sunglasses claimed that he could teach you how to make 5k a month selling ebooks on eBay? Well it used to be, strangely enough, true. But now eBay has evolved into a whole new animal, an animal that it seems has it out for ebooks.
eBay used to be a thriving marketplace for selling ebooks and some still promise you can make a killing on eBay selling ebooks. The unfortunate part about that is that there wrong, over a year ago eBay changed it’s policy on digital products. What once was a hot selling market on eBay has now died down to fledging operation. People seeking easy ways to earn money quickly sought out the ebook path because it had absolutely no physical product to push & unlimited income potential. Only problem was eBay executives decided that this new ebook craze wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Often horrible cut & paste ‘ebook’ offerings turned out to be copyright infringements or plain forgery. Now the tables have turned and if you decide to push ebooks on eBay you’ll have to cut through a whole lot more red tape.
What to do? If you want to sell legitimate ebooks you wrote, or have the rights for there are still options available using eBay. Now that you can only list ebook ads in the eBay classifieds its much more important to set up your own site to drive traffic to. Implement eBay in the marketing part if you can and then reap the rewards on your own personal site. This road to ebook success is possible, but you just have to make sure as with any product offered on eBay that what you’re selling is legit & contains good information.
So that’s it, no more ‘fast money’ on eBay via the ebook venue, but still if you desire to make a quick buck there are a lot of alternatives if you aren’t opposed to a little hardwork & some reading up on the new frontier to eBay success.
